Match Preview: Claudio Ranieri’s men look to continue turn in form at undefeated Tottenham

Looking to gain a bit of consistency to their Premier League form, Leicester city travels to White Hart Lane this weekend to take on a Tottenham Hotspur side that has yet to lose a match so far this campaign.

Posting five wins and four draws through the opening nine matches, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been one of the year’s most impressive sides coming off a 2015/16 season where they challenged the champions (Leicester) for most of the year before finishing third behind Arsenal.

Let by leading goalscorer Son Heung-Min, who’s already turned in four goals for the club, Spurs will look to exploit Leicester’s horrendous away from that’s seen them already concede 11 goals away from the King Power Stadium.

Spurs will continue to be without last year’s leading scorer Harry Kane who is recovering from an ankle injury, as well as first choice center back Toby Alderweireld. Leicester on the other hand boasts a clean bill of health, one that offers manager Claudio Ranieri a number of selection questions.

Rested last week against Crystal Palace, expect Jamie Vardy to return to the starting lineup to join Shinji Okazaki in attack with Islam Slimani dropping to the bench. Ahmed Musa, scorer of a fabulous strike against the Eagles will likely keep his place on the flank ahead of Marc Albrighton.

With another tricky Champions League fixture against Copenhagen upcoming for the Foxes, a steady squad rotation is extremely important for Ranieri at this point in the campaign as a win in Denmark would essentially seal the group for the visitors.
