The England national football team defeated Turkey in a match at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Sunday. As a shock to nobody, it was Jamie Vardy providing the winning goal off a corner in the 83rd minute.
As England won a corner kick, the ensuing header was saved by Turkey's keeper Volkan Babacan, who collided with his defender Ismail Koybasi during the dive. The ball trickled free to a wide-open Vardy who slotted a short-range finish off the face of Babacan and into the back of the net.
Fellow Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater also featured for England, coming on as a second half substitute for Raheem Sterling.
England had scored in the opening minutes of the first half on a goal from Tottenham's Harry Kane. The goal was controversial as Kane appeared to be in an offside position that went unnoticed by the linesmen.
Turkey manager Fatih Terim was furious, and cameras caught him showing a replay to the fourth official on a mobile device.
