Leicester City continued to make a dent in the summer transfer window by acquiring defender Luis Hernandez from Sporting Gijon. With Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri still looking to make a few more signings this summer, here’s four top targets that Leicester could sign over the coming weeks.

Mario Lemina, midfielder

The Juventus forward has grown unhappy with his situation in Italy and is looking for a summer exit. Both Leicester and newly-promoted German side RB Leipzig are reportedly battling to sign Lemina for next season.

Italian media outlet CalcioMercato is reporting that Lemina is "more seriously" evaluating his offer from Leipzig. However, Ranieri remains hopeful of bringing in young talent for next season, and Lemina would be a nice fit at central midfield.

Michael Keane, defender

The former Manchester United defender will be returning to the Premier League next season in some form after leading a stalwart Burnley team back to the top flight. Despite the very recent signing of defender Luis Hernandez from Sporting Gijon, Claudio Ranieri has stressed his desire to strengthen his backline for next season.

Sky Sports is reporting that Leicester has already made a 10 million pound bid for the center back in an attempt to bolster the Leicester defense. Burnley has reportedly rejected the bid.

Nampalys Mendy, midfielder

He’s been on the Leicester transfer radar for months and many believe Mendy will be the replacement to N’Golo Kante, who is also linked with a move away from Leicester this summer. However, Ranieri has stressed that he wants Mendy to learn from Kante and would like use both together.

French media outlet L’Equipe is reporting that Mendy will be in Leicester by the end of the week to finalize a deal. Claudio Ranieri has made Mendy his priority signing this summer, and looks to have beat out West Ham to sign the French protegee. Look for this deal to happen at some point this summer.

Hatem Ben Arfa, forward

He’s played in the Premier League before, so it’s known he can compete. With Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez possibly leaving this summer, Ben Arfa could be called on to help replace both.

After being named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Season, Ben Arfa has been courted by Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla. But for Claudio Ranieri, signing Ben Arfa could mean that Mahrez is, in fact, leaving, according to Goal. Ben Arfa would only sign with Leicester if the money was right and if Mahrez leaves this summer.
