Time for a bounce back win

Leicester City, looking for a pick-me-up after a disappointing to loss to Hull City last weekend will host Arsenal, themselves looking to come back from a loss to Liverpool on the opening weekend. This could already be an important match for two teams with aspirations for success this year.

The Foxes will be out for revenge having been beaten home and away last season, despite only losing one other game. Adding to the drama will be the appearance of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, both of whom have now signed new contracts this summer to end protracted transfer sagas in which they turned down the Gunners’ advances.

Leicester City Team News

With Robert Huth returning from suspension, Claudio Ranieri has his full squad to pick from.

Arsenal Team News

As is tradition, Arsenal enter the game with an injury list too long to include in full, including new worries in Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi, plus long term absentees like Danny Welbeck and Per Mertesacker, among others.

Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil are ready to go after the Euro’s, however, and Wenger may gamble on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny.
