Happy new year, Leicester supporters!
To welcome you into 2017, following the Foxes’ point against Middlesbrough yesterday, the club has announced its first signing of the calendar year: Wilfred Ndidi from Genk.

Ndidi, 20, has been described as a ferocious ball-winner with a heart of gold — a player who is adored equally by his teammates and his coaches.
With the departure of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea in the summer seemingly still a big concern for Claudio Ranieri and Leicester, the hope here is that with Ndidi, Nampalys Mendy and Daniel Amartey, the club has a new core of midfielders who will solidify the defensive third.
The club announced that Ndidi has signed a five-and-a-half year deal with the Foxes, which will be made official once he is granted a work permit.

Capped five times by the Nigerian National Team, Ndidi has also played in the UEFA Europa League with Genk and is a versatile contributor having spent time at fullback, center back and holding midfield.
Welcome to the party, Wilfred!
