Despite the hair raising finish, the Foxes’ 1-0 win over Burnley was not the close shave that the scoreline suggests. Leicester were a cut above throughout, and Burnley fans may want to bleach this one from their memories. The highlight of the day was from Riyad Mahrez; the Algerian has been on the fringes at times, but was at the root of this strong performance, clipping a lovely cross to Demarai Gray, who swept it home. There’s a real buzz about him at the moment, as he’s proven once again to be a snip at £450,000. (I’m done with the puns now).
Pregame, the star winger/hair grower caused a slight stir in the fashion world, arriving in the unusual combination of suit and wooly hat. When he came out to warm up in a hat, it was clear something was up. Was it ever.
Now we know why Riyad Mahrez kept a wooly hat on until just before kick-off

A brave new haircut for Leicester's star man

The Foxes’ golden boy is bright blonde now. Perhaps he’s hoping to emulate his hero Kasper Schmeichel, maybe he’s learned a lesson in standing out from midweek debutant Hamza Choudhury. Either way, it’s a big deal.
There's something different about you Riyad, but we're not sure what... pic.twitter.com/xJDXZ4ovOL

Everyone was talking about Riyad Mahrez's new hair... but what's your verdict?

As a hairstylist, i can tell you this took a lot of time...sometimes up to 8 hours depending on how dark his hair was...

(Big if true).
Yes, the great and good have been lining up to have their say about the Algerian’s new do, some even stooping as low as hair related puns.
Mahrez has gone blonde but Leicester go Gray! 1-0!!

It should also be mentioned that with his new hair lighting the way, the Magician looked almost back to his very best today. Even his manager took note.

"If he shines even more like that, then it will be a good thing."
Too bloody right.
If he can keep up these kind of performances, Leicester City are certainly on the up and could soon be swapping places with the 7th place Clarets.
