Make no mistake: Kasper Schmeichel has always been a very good goalkeeper.
But it seems as though lately, our Kasper has taken that next step into greatness and is quickly becoming one of the game’s top shot-stoppers.
This was further evidenced on Tuesday when it was announced that Schmeichel was again named the Danish Footballer of the Year...for the second year running.

Well done, Kasper! pic.twitter.com/iMvTpkW4GR
Beating out the likes of Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Andreas Christensen and Werder Bremen’s Thomas Delaney, Schmeichel, 30, has thoroughly deserved the award as he’s easily been Leicester’s best player this season.
Need more proof? Look no further than these tweets that accurately portray his beastliness:

Congratulations Kasper. You’ve earned it. Please never leave us. I have nightmares of Conrad Logan that will come back to haunt me if you do. Thanks.
