The Foxes’ biggest moment since last Wednesday

It’s going to be cold in Leicester tonight. Not midwinter cold and it’s not going to snow, but the temperature is forecast to be about 8°C (46 Fahrenheit) at kickoff time. I’m sure that won't sound any more than chilly to many, but compared to the 24°C (75 Fahrenheit) predicted for Madrid at the same time, it could give Leicester City an advantage.

They may need it, with their opponents Atlético Madrid ahead after the first leg. The Foxes have a 100% record at home in the Champions League and have won 5/6 at home since Shakespeare took charge, however, so the tie is still very much on. We’ve listed here which scenarios will put Leicester into the Champions League semi final. I can honestly say I’d never considered the possibility of writing that sentence.

To learn more about our opponents, you can see Shane chat to our opposition blog Into the Calderon here and here. For more build up you can check out our match preview, and see below for all the information on how to watch, along with team news and lineups when they come.

Leicester City Team News:

We’re still waiting on a lot of the big news here, and it might not be out before the teams are released. Robert Huth is suspended we know, and long term absentees Mendy and Wagué won't play. The big question is over the fitness of club captain Wes Morgan. he’s been missing for several weeks now, but came through training yesterday just fine and with Huth out his team really need him. Islam Slimani didn't train so will be doubtful for the game.

Atlético Madrid Team News:

Kevin Gameiro, their only noteworthy injury for the first leg could be fit to return while Augusto Fernandez, Miguel Moya and Sime Vrsaljko are expected to miss out again.

Lineups:

Leicester City: Wes Morgan! We have a Wes Morgan!

Atlético Madrid: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Savic, Luis; Koke, Giménez, Gabi, Niguez; Carrasco, Griezmann
