Huddersfield Town (2-1-1) versus Leicester City (1-0-3)
Saturday 10:00 AM ET, John Smith’s Stadium
Leicester will face a Huddersfield side on Saturday that have had a surprise start to their Premier League season. The Terriers currently find themselves in sixth place and had not allowed a goal until their 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Monday.
How to Watch
Once more you’ll need NBCSN’s Premier League Gold pass to view this match.
The Competition
Leicester will need to break Huddersfield’s stout defense if they want to take all three points home with them. Fortunately, West Ham had a high degree of success when counter-attacking them Monday, but the Foxes may struggle if they have the majority possesion and don’t take advantage of the chances they create.
The Foxes
Leicester will be without Christian Fuchs at left back following a freak eye injury during training. Matty James is also a doubt due to an achilles injury he picked up against Chelsea.
Vicente Iborra and Kelechi Iheanacho are expected to play after a succesful outing with the U-23 squad. Robert Huth is also available.
The Lineups
Jonathon Moss has been appointed as the official for this match.
The History
This match marks the first top-flight meeting of the two teams since the 1971-1972 season. Leicester have beaten Huddersfield in their last seven league matches but were recently bested by the Terriers in a 2013 FA Cup 4th round replay 2-1.
The Prediction
I think Leicester need to make a statement this match, one that can set the tone for the rest of the season. Having faced several of last season’s top teams, and played them well, they need to take full advantage of this newly promoted team. I’m going for a 3-0 Foxes win.
