Leicester City were a little unconvincing against Burton Albion, but ultimately got the win to move on into the Quarterfinal.
The Brewers, a mid-table League One side, followed draws against the Championship’s Luton Town and Premier League strugglers Newcastle United. It’s been a fairy easy ride so far for the Foxes.
The competition steps up a little now, with this morning’s draw sending us to Goodison Park for an away tie against Everton.

Well, it’s a step up from Burton. It sounds difficult, but the Toffees are actually just one place and one point above Newcastle in the league at the moment.
On current form, which can change of course, we should be expecting to win this one. It’s certainly preferable to Manchester City, Liverpool or Manchester United, although the draw suggests those will be the other three in the next round.
The game is due to take place in the week starting 16th December, which presumably means either Tuesday 17th or Wednesday 18th.
The Foxes are currently scheduled to play Norwich City on the 14th and Man City on the 21st (both Saturdays), so the 17th would probably be preferable, especially with games to come on the 26th, 28th and January 1st.
The full draw is:
Oxford United vs Manchester City
Manchester United vs Colchester United
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
Everton vs Leicester City
