As for most of the summer, the majority of transfer rumours circulating Leicester City relate to the sale of Harry Maguire, possibly to Manchester United. Yesterday, the pace suddenly seemed to pick up, with all of twitter apparently certain that a deal was as good as done.
Additional details occasionally included were that Maguire was demanding to be sold, or that he was to have a medical in Manchester today. About the only people not talking about it were those who are usually most reliable for Leicester City transfers.

Today a little more truth of the story seems to have to come out.
Maguire is not having a medical today. Maguire is not in Manchester today. A deal has not been agreed.
However, the only new information on the transfer we have received is that the player is keen on making the move. There has been no falling out, no transfer request handed in, but he’d like to pursue the deal, and the club is happy for him to do, so long as the very high fee they’ve set is matched.
Can confirm Harry Maguire has told #lcfc management and players he wants to pursue a move to #mufc or #mcfc if the valuation (£80m-£90m) is met. Leicester expect him to be professional if a move doesn’t materialise before the transfer deadline

This doesn’t really add the major drama that it will be reported as. We already basically knew he’d go if we accepted a bid. If we do something in that region offered for him, most of us are pretty happy that anyway, I think.
Non-Maguire news has been even thinner on the ground, but there are a few rumours at least to talk about.
Lewis Dunk
As soon as the Maguire rumours appeared, another sprang up suggesting that the Foxes had agreed a £45m deal with Brighton and Hove Albion for CB Lewis Dunk. The Leicester Mercury (or is Leicestershire Live now) described these reports as “wide of the mark” and they believe that the search for a replacement wouldn’t start until after a Maguire deal is arranged.
Dunk is likely to be a candidate, if that should happen, and appears to have interest in joining, but much like Maguire the deal is nothing like done.
Dennis Praet
Rumours that Leicester are lining up to sign Praet from Sampdoria have been around for a while now. When it comes to Belgian midfielders in Leicester, I listen to Kristof:
I don’t see that one happening at the moment.

Obviously this doesn’t rule anything out, but he doesn’t appear to be a priority.
Ferran Torres
Leicester were tentatively described as “watching” the 19 year old Valencia winger by several sources at the start of the month. There’s absolutely no new news, or even rumours from self described news outlets, but the buzz on twitter is increasing, if not to Maguire-like levels. His age and skillset fit our current transfer trends.
Nampalys Mendy
This one is even less cemented in any kind reliability, but several different sources in France have suggested that Saint Ettienne may be interested in bringing Mendy back to France this summer. There is no word on whether Leicester or the player are returning that interest.
Charlie Allen
Allen is a 17 year old midfielder, currently with Linfield in Northern Ireland. He’s been linked with a whole bunch of Premier League clubs lately, including Leicester.
There are a few other rumours, but very little of any substance, including some of those mentioned above.
There will be some movement still to come this summer, mostly as the club looks to trim some fat from an overstuffed squad. As of right now, there’s almost nothing real out there to suggest where they might be going, so feel free to make something up!
