Predicting the Leicester City lineup vs Leeds

Defenders? We don’t need no stinkin defenders

Leicester City are on a three match winning run, playing with a back three for the past two of those. It might seem strange to switch to more defenders now that the injuries are piling up at the position, but there is a sense to it.

James Justin is the only RB we have left. Marc Albrighton is an acceptable fill in at RWB, but is definitely not at RB. You don’t want to be in a position where you have to make multiple subs if one player goes down, so I have them sticking with the 3-4-3.

CB: Wesley Fofana - for a teenage CB, his settling in period could not be going better. Keep it going.

CB: Jonny Evans - he missed Thursday’s game hurt, but it didn’t sound like a multiple game issue.

CB: Christian Fuchs - ol reliable is going to step in and be at least ok, as ever.

RWB: Marc Albrighton - wait, did I just use ol reliable on Fuchs? Then what will I call Albrighton?

CM: Nampalys Mendy - Brendan always picks one of his DMs in this formation.

CM: Youri Tielemans - has very much become the most defensive option of the big 3 CMs, which gives him a leg up for getting the pick here.

LWB: James Justin - JJ will almost certainly play. We could see him on the right with Luke Thomas playing ahead of Albrighton on this side.

RW: James Maddison - he looks fit and in form again. Use it while you’ve got it.

LW: Harvey Barnes - I think he has to play. Probably looks a little more like Maddison at 10 and Barnes almost up front with Vardy.

ST: Jamie Vardy - he’s fit again, he’s scoring again, he’s playing again.

Fantasy Impact

The main takeaway from this week is that the Foxes’ defence can’t be trusted. Leeds have scored plenty of goals so far and our defence is as makeshift as you’ll see. Jonny Evans is by no means a certainty, which would really be a boost to any Leeds forwards.
