It was supposed to be the first match of the final push for Leicester City. Unfortunately it turned out a false beginning. From VAR controversy to Maddison being booed at his former club, there wasn’t a lack of incidents. Lets check out some of the Social Media reactions to the match:
Players:
Ricardo Pereira -
Picture says it all!
Kasper Schmeichel:
Kelechi Iheanacho:
“The next games, we should concentrate, focus and work really hard to make sure we get the points that we need."

Brendan Rodgers:
“We’re naturally disappointed. I don’t think we deserved to lose the game. However, we didn’t show enough quality in the final third of the pitch to make the breakthrough."

Others:
Too many players going through the motions for me. We got to 2nd in dec & too many thought we’ve made it & we’ve been average to poor ever since playing Norwich at home. We’re limping over the finishing line again this season. #lcfc

Head’s still gone, might take a while to get it back tonight. It’s a cocktail of bemusement, frustration and a complete lack of spine from what we witnessed tonight. Game was over when they scored. We didn’t know how to claw our way back, finishing and creativity so lacklustre.

What I saw tonight was us playing like we were trying to protect our league position. Rather than going for the game. It's understandable to a point, certainly after the Liverpool & Man City defeats at Xmas. But BR has ro address this quickly now because we look FLAT #lcfc

For a club with Champions League aspirations-cum-expectations, against a team bottom of the table with only four clean sheets all season — now five — that is a grim night for #lcfc. Impotence of the performance especially concerning.
